People smoking in cars!

Disagree with it totally. If you are that addicted/require a smoke that often you shouldn't be driving.

Lol, perhaps a tad strong I agree, and I didn't mean driving full stop rather on the a said journey. If you need to have a tab that badly on say a 30min journey to the shops then why not wait as smoking in a car is dangerous.

Smoking while driving is no where near as distracting as talking on a phone. It takes no concerntratio or effort and you can still keep both hands on the wheel when not taking drag.

Dont mind people smoking in their cars, there in their own little space at the end of the day, its just when they sell the car on with a full ashtray and horrible yellow stains everywhere 

You do have the choice not to buy that car when he comes to sell it (or hand it back to the lease company)

As for smoking whether in cars or not, it makes you stink, even if you think it doesn't.

Rarely see folk cutting me off because they're smoking and driving.

 I know a bloke whose a keen smoker and hasn't emptied the ashtray in his 1993 BMW 520 since he had it. Huge pile of ash on top of the ashtray, on the centre console to the gear stick and into the passanger footwell. Its been there that long its set in formation

Seems pretty petty to be honest, the way i see it is its their car they can do what the hell they like & anyone who has a problem with it is obviously missing something in their life....

I smoke in my cars, even if theres a non smoker as a passenger, because if they dont like it they can get the 40ft looser cruiser an not hitch a ride from me

Just my 2 penneth, I don't think smoking whilst driving is dangerous at all, as Horney said it takes no concentration, the only thing I wouldn't recommend is rolling a tab/bifta on your knee while driving, thats just unsafe. I'm much more concerned about Polish lorry drivers pulling 50ton round roundabouts while on the phone!!!

As for smoking in a car, I personally do, but I hate a car that stinks of it. As a result I NEVER smoke in my car while sat in traffic, ALWAYS have the window open as much as possible, and always keep it near the window. I refuse to use the ashtray in the car, its always IMO been placed in such a daft place in a car where if you were to flick it there its inevitable your gearstick gaitor will get covered in ash, and also an ashtray even half full STINKS! (I usually have an empty can/bottle in the "bin" (under armrest) to put dockers in) But it mainly doesn't bother me because I'm so damn anal about how clean my cars are inside and even if I ever drop some ash anywhere I hoover it up asap

i see it like this if they wana let them. but i dont smoke myself but when i get in a customers car on a red hot day and all you can smell is that nasty smell that makes your eyes burn! ew ew ew and all the dash board is covered in ash thats nasty mainly mobility cars tbh lol, but they drive it there rules i gess...

I used to smoke while driving my old fiesta. It was lovely to have a cig as a treat when sitting in traffic! I personally never smoked when it was busy or on the motorway or a country pass for example.

I do find it surprising that people smoke in posh cars - I never smoked in my golf even!
