Removing front indicators
« on: 02 July 2005, 12:52 »
Went to remove them last night and could only manage to remove the lenses, do you have to apply a lot of force to pull the housing out as well? I didn't want to pull to hard as I wanted to save the units for the future in case I want to use them again. The new MR set I have don't have removable lenses so I can't just swap the bulbs and lenses over.

Thanks for any info guys

Are they the clips the screws go through?
I am talking the bumper indicators here and not the side repeaters mate (just to make sure we aren't talking about different things)

I'm thinking it might be best to remove the bumper (small), is this easy to remove? If so how

they should just fall out once you've removed the 2 screws...

If you've got a complete set to replace them with, just whack the crap out of it, it'll come out then!!

Sorry if this wasn't constructive.

Well I managed to get them out and then realised the new units have slightly different connectors on the end so tomorrow will pop down to Maplins and pick up some bullet connectors and cut the old ones off and use them on the new ones.

Should look good when finished, I just wish I tried doing this earlier and it would have been finished today
