Dont go to halfords their stuff dont stick.

I put a red 6mm trim tape on my white mk3 in 2008. It's still intact and still looks the part...That was from halfords.

Best stuff is 6mm Stagecoach tape off the internet.  Looks better, not as shiney as one from Halfords and sticks better.  Plus its cheaper at £3.75

sorry for stealing the thread a bit but been thinking about doing mine for a little while but got laminx yellow fogs not sure if it would work to well with red stripe
they do a yellow too but might all be a bit much lol
golf in question is black magic pearl any thoughts anyone?

Can always just give it a try and see if you like it mate.
Can always take it off and don't cost much.

After a get my new wheels tomorrow and do the centres gold in thinking about trying a gold pinstripe.
I really like dark green and gold. Think the colours work well together.

You pretty much described my car, great minds and that I was hoping you would have picked a suitable pinstripe colour aswell! haha. Im tempted with red but not a bright red, as iv got some CL rear lights that im also hoping to tint to all red.
