bloody top mount nut

ok today went to fit a set of 60mm lowering springs to my mate anni.
had to give up after hours of tring tho as no matter what we tried we could not got the top mount nuts to even move.
got top car nuts off fine.
but just could not get the nuts that go above the bearing inside the top mount to even undo a tiny bit. even had the impact gun on it for ages and went through 4 batterys and still did not budge. never had a problem with these before as its normaly the cap nut thats the bugger.

any suggestions?
even put the suspension back on the car and dropped it on the wieght of the car and that stopped the shock rod from moving round but it still would not budge.

You tried an allen key with a long bit of pipe, and also a 13mm spark plug socket, spanner and a bit of pipe on that also?

With the weight of the car on it that should help.

Tried any plus gas little bit better than wd40 at unseizing nuts

Keep it on car and drop car to floor.Heat nut with blowlamp.Try again with impact gun.Like you say,top nut is normally the pig,never had a problem with the lower one and iv'e done quite a few.

One thing i did find with the 12v one was that it was much better when connected to the car battery when the engine was running.

Tried all that. Even half melted the old top mount when heating it and still won't budge. Tried swan neck spanner with bar and Allen key bit in socket attached to breaker bar. Will not budge. Have done loads of these and never had an issue with them ever. And it's both side that are like this. Gave up in the end

had same prop mate ended up slowly drove it round to my local vw mod garage an even he had prob at first but used a big bar an weg under top plate an loads od wd40 an had to use air gun. just give him a tenner for it.
