Its usually only the top of the handbrake mech pin that rusts on the caliper, you can knock the pin out a bit, clean it up with emery paper, lash on wd40, free it all up and then grease it.
Is the pin at the top of the caliper or lower down. I will have a look tomorrow, is there any picture as a reference to show what I am looking for. Also would the cone head on the hub need to be removed and greased where the hub pin is i think. I don't really know what I am talking about I suppose, but I am trying lol, sorry to be a pain.

see the gold bolt where it goes into the caliper - thats where it rusts & seizes, knock it out a bit & clean it up lash with wd40, push back in again, wiggle about etc. its just moving parts so nothing too complicated


you can also remove the caliper of the disk, and make sure the piston itself is free moving. pump it out a bit (just be careful not to pump to far & pop it out), wind it back in etc
