id actlly pay cash to see someone do it with their eyes closed lol not doubting u by the way. the whole front panel can be unbolted to ease access which is gd

you just gotta take the sump off pal to get to the pick up pipe and then remove 2x 10mm or 13mm bolts and its off! and theres a little green o ring seal too, so when you get your new engine i really really can not stresss enough how much you should replace it lol it cost me what? a tenner for that and the seal, will not take long at all to do with the engine out. to check the turbo all i can think is feel the play in the shaft? see if its rough when turning about all you can do without striping it

Is this something you tink I ought to look into if my mileage is low? Just picked up a 20vt with round 70k miles

Definitely worth changing the pickup pipe with the next service :wink:

No I know them speeds are never safe but I was just enjoying the remap.  Missing the golf so much atm can't wait to get another lump in.
