1st half not great. 2nd half much better and a come back. That is the sort of confidence boost Eng needed!

Which "Better" team has performed well then ??  Holland are dire, Spain have got good results against poor teams but look no where near as potent as they used to be, Germany are decent and have performed better than previous, France are poor IMO. The best team I have seen is Russia. I think England could compete against any team in the competition playing like they did against France and the first half against Sweden.....maybe not win but would not be embarrassed by any means. We are playing better for Hodgson than we ever did for Capello and I am not a fan of Hodgson !!!!!

I thought first half was ok as we kept the ball well and used it well and limited Sweden to very little. Pretty much what happened against France. Then when Sweden equalised we seemed to lose faith a lot but then picked up again.

I am not expecting us to win the Euros but I am convinced that when we do go out it will be with dignity and pride whoever we play. I believe we could play well against any of the so called better teams. We now seem to have a game plan and some organisation for a change.

I think we've always had that. I think we used to be quite one dimensional though. Pop shots from outside the box, or crosses in from the wing for the slightly taller to head in. With the slightly unknown younger players that have atm with something to prove, they are quite spontaneous in what they do which makes a refreshing change!
