I have heard of a case where you can be fined for "furious pedalling"

Does that mean I could get done in the gym too

As far as I am aware you can't get done for "speeding" as such on a bicycle although I have heard of a case where you can be fined for "furious pedalling". How true this is I don't know but I think it was more a case of being in proper control and riding like a prize twonk.

Yep, under a old bylaw you can be done for furious pedalling but not speeding as such, the fine I got 18 years ago was £22

You can be done for speeding via the "due care" side of the law, speeding may mean you are not in proper control........
Not a real problem unless you are speeding in a 20mph
