« on: 12 June 2012, 09:34 »
Right guys i need some help!

My sunroof is not working :( It was working fine the other day, i had the sunroof open and locked the car on the full closure and the sunroof didn't shut :(

I then got back in the car and i can here the motor relay clicking but the motor is not working, i removed it from the sunroof cassette

The motor has a 5 wire plug on it, what are the points to check for power etc?

This happened to me a while back and I just manually closed the roof using the tool that's under the plastic cover at the front of the roof, then tried the roof again and its been fine since,so looks like it just got jammed and needed freeing up which closing manually obviously achieved.

I think they can get caught against the bump stops and jam causing the relays to go a bit mental!

unlikely to be motor. These sunroofs jam up for a past time. Make sure the little white cover that slides over where you put the key is closed.

Right i have had a play around with the sunroof

The motor is working :) yay, but it only takes the sunroof back and does not stop!

I have taken the motor off the sunroof cassete and it only goes backwards and goes forward for about 3/4 rotations :(

If i have it on the sunroof cassette it will go all the way back but then wont shut the sunroof after!
