Looks like I'll keep my Polo GTI a little longer if this is the best they can come up with!

Says in magazine Golf R will have the Exact same engine as  the GTI but uprated power to around 300hp

ironically in the back of the mag it has a mini test thing between current Golf R and Focus RS.. they rate the Foucus and number 1 choice  :lipsrsealed:

Yes, I very much like the look of the RS it looks awesome in green...but pace wise I read a good while back the the R has the legs on the RS...don't know how much of this true tho, it wud be good to see a vid of them both up against each other...

well iv been up against a RS in my golf and i had him.. which put me off them a bit TBH... plus i keep hearing folk saying they under power by 20 bhp or so :undecided:

The Auto Express feature says the R can't match the performance of The RS....

I like them both.. would be a hard choice for me

Autocar said that they were expecting a Golf RS for the MKVII, which they are saying would be a 2.5ltr with 365bhp. I'd like to think so and I'd be knocking on their doors if they did, but somehow I doubt it and it is just Autocar's journo's wet dream!

Im not surprised you done the RS they are 300bhp out the box but weigh about twice your car... My friend has one which he has had tuned by JamSport to over 440bhp and its an animal but just keeps eating R888 tyres which are £260 a corner
