Good news for a change! I found a local garage who will repair the wheel bearing for just shy of £120, which has made me pretty happy. My code reader arrived, I have 2 codes: 17705 and 17545. From doing some research, these seem to be caused by a manky throttle body? Any ideas on how to solve these, as I don't much fancy just clearing the codes off and waiting for something to explode!
I thought Volkswagens were supposed to be reliable?

Codes are cleared, I let the engine have a run for a bit, and gave it some welly as well. No light yet, but I'll wait and see. getting the bearing done tomorrow as well! Hopefully this should all be sorted out in time for me to go to the pub!

Thanks for all your help/info =D
