If ever you do a deal again always ask for a full tank, yrs road tax & mats but tbh road tax is standard now.

My bad - I guess I should have asked for a full tank....bah!

I am getting 10 litres of fuel with it, 1yrs road tax & a fixed 3yr service plan for £99.
Go back and tell them you're pissed off with the wait already and you want a full tank and mats lol

Without wanting to sound stupid, what is a commission number?  :embarassed:

This is my first VW I've bought & first ever factory order car.

If I phone up my dealer will he not wonder why I am requesting the commission number?

Of course I can't wait to receive the car & think I'm gonna stick some Shell V-Power in it for it's first few drives.

Superb mate, superb! Thanks for your help there.....I'll get onto that later this week.

At this stage, I have only ordered the car via phone as I am out of the country so phoned the dealer & he took my deposit over the phone - that's all I've done/heard from him regarding the ordering of the car?

Now that he's taken the deposit & said he would send out the finance forms etc, does that effectively mean that the car is ordered?

Sorry for being a baloon tonight!!

No worries mate, and no not necessarily...it just means he's gonna do it but by now he shud of done it as long as he's got allocation for that model, once the order has been placed with the factory it will automatically generate a personalised number(commission number) I think it's 8 digits...

Once the factory has the order it will be kept on there system until its been given a provisional built week, this can go forward or back until it's gone confirmed, then usually it's set in stone that your car will be built on this date, BUT peeps have said in the past that they've had a so called confirmed build week that has been put back or brought forward....mine didn't go back or forward, I was given a provisional build week which went confirmed and stayed that way...I can only comment on my own experience of course!

I'm was built on week5(feb 5th)of this yr and I took delivery on the 1st march...

I'm sure you've got nothing to worry about tho...

WTF if I went to order a car and it didn't come with mats I'd tell them to p1ss right off!

That said, for the sake of a few quid, why not just get genuine. You're spending a lot on the car so no point having cheap crappy mats.

..and geniune VW mats aren't cheap and crappy?
Mine have serious heel wear on the drivers mat at 11500 miles and 2 years old.

My original Mk3 golf mats are were similarly worn at 80000 miles and 14 years old.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.
