turbo boost problem

hi guys iv got another post on here about my turbo iv just fitted im going to check the n75 is working then im going to try sucking the vac pipe to the actuator to see if the arm is moving then failing that im thinking of clamping the arm open just to see if the turbo is working  what you all think ?

Umm.....If you clamp the arm open and give it the beans I think your car will go into limp mode.  :undecided:

Sucking on the vac hose to the actuator is a good test for sure.

Was it a good serviceable turbo you fitted?

yea its was good iv tested the n75 and its sucking lightly on tick over so guess its working . i can not test it through the rev range as im on my own and have no one to press the peddle , also it was working fine with my last turbo so its cant just not like that im sure it would loose suction power till it finaly went all together ? not just all at once ?

im going to look at my old actuator and see if ajustment makes a diffrence as to the pressuer it takes to suck it in  then im going to take the vac pip and lay under the car watching the arm and suck to see if it moves . if not then im going to change the two over .
what do you think ? :smiley:

right iv connected vac pipe to my old actuator and it workes well did the same to the one on the car and it workes well so i was confused ..
then i thought put the vac pipe on the old actuator so i can see if it works and movemen of about a milimeter and then even less so then i thought id just disconnect that and see if the suction incresses when i rev the car with my finger over the pipe and no it did not so im taking this as the n75 has had its day ??

you guys are legends :) iv found the leak full strong boost and brakes are good now thanks guya the pipe from my vac pump had a split and becaues my old actuator was pants and very week it did not show up till iv fitted the new turbo :) thanks so much guys iv been on it all weekend and have the biggest smile now :)
