DSG boxes require a service at 40,000 miles. Mines booked in for the this month. My DSG has been fine. Be interesting to know what the service involves and see if it makes any noticable difference.

I think it's mainly just an oil change ... it should feel a bit smoother after the service, based on peoples experiences with the Mk V

Ahhh that's Crewe VW for you. I hate that company with a passion. Unfortunately they're my local dealer who I no longer deal with!!!

Crewe vw what a load of t**ts, the car was sold before it even came to the dealership !!! Why lie then ?? Saying to me that I could have first look when it came in to them ! Rang them yesterday and spoke to different salesman. Why can't they just say its sold but if it falls through we will ring you !!
Main dealers seem to play these silly games all the time.
Oh by the way the blue golf r was at a jaguar dealer in Scotland and it was on pistonheads before that, the guy was putting the golf r in for part ex at the jag dealer when I rang the day before. He had the golf up for sale for 2 weeks at a higher price but no takers so he gave jaguar my number and said I was interested in it.

Mate the amount of trouble I've had with that dealership (and the company which owns them) is unreal. I posted about it here: http://www.staffs-vw.co.uk/staffs-dealers-your-say/1860-crewe-volkswagen.html

In their defence, they have put up blinds now, however they left them open the other day when I was passing and I could see more paperwork. I happened to notice a nice message was written in the dirt on a Polo GTI for sale on their forecourt - don't know who did that?     I seem to recall, although very vague, it was something along the lines of that particular dealership being a bit rubbish.

Nah I didn't get anything off them - nor did I expect anything. I'd previous had problems with other companies owned by the same parent company as Crewe VW. In fact, I'd taken them to director / Audi UK level too. I always said I'd NEVER use them again for anything, but I thought different dealership, may be better, boy was I wrong!!! I don't understand how companies like this can still be in business - or even worse, opening/buying new dealerships and making ever increasing profits. Surely I'm not the only person they fcuk over!
