Changing the stereo

Do you need to fit a radio cage to fit an aftermarket stereo in the mark 4 ??

a cage stops the radio rattling about so im sure you need one

The stereo is secured to the cage which is secured to the dash. Stops it moving about and adds security.

Yes. The Gamma radio is designed to fit into a DIN sized hole without a cage. Aftermarket ones need a cage.

Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.
