Older threads on here suggested the VWR springs were KW, if they are rebranded Eibachs I am suspecting I can save a few quid :cool:

I phoned VWR a few weeksgo and she confirmed they are eibach springs but are unique to them.


KW do 20mm springs so maybe they are similar?

Says they're matched for standard shocks. they're updated 15% or so and should work with koni or bilstein etc updated shocks.

The problem is then its not really a tried and tested set up.

I considered a h&r cup kit or kw sport kit but not sure if these are properly tested or just 'best guessed'

Bilstein b12 kit is road and track tested properly developed for each car has a proper warranty and are the best dampers by far. If I do mine it will be for a b12 kit.


Ive looked into sway bars on  various sites And found H&r, kw and VWR sway bars are all made by eibach.

Who's aren't?
VW Racings?

I would trust a kit designed for UK roads over a generic lowering kit designed for billiard table smooth Autobahns anyday.
Every VW Racing product I've ever tried has worked faultlessly and after speaking to the lads there, the depth of knowledge is way over and above what you get at your average suspension seller.

Having changed springs/dampers or both to alternate springs/dampers or decent coilovers on most cars I've owned in the last 15 years...I'd say the VWR springs/ACC dampers is up there with the best.
