You seem to be liking that gate ^  :grin:

It's a nice idea to use something in the foreground. The first shot is probably the best in terms of composition and focus, but it's too dark. It's already very grainy (it's actually under-exposed not over-exposed) so if you tried to lighten it in Photoshop it probably wouldn't work so well.
I would try that shot again, but in better light, slightly earlier in the evening. The good light goes quite quickly in the evening, so you need to be quick to make the most of the "golden hour" (see here).



yeah there wasnt much else around that way, was hoping to get some pics in other locations up there but they were all too over grown.

and yeah main reason for the exposure problems was light going so quickly, difference in the last pic and the first was about 30-40 mins.

but hey ho its all about learning.
