Thanks Ess_Three

Yeah I'm sure ill love the car! can't want to pick it up on Friday! thinking of a private plate, and possibly black badges but not keen to jump into any modding so soon.

Looks great fella, a couple of sleepless nights in order then

The private plate is a good idea but then I'm biased

and then a remap

Private plate will look spot on, but a short prefix one, not a new style one that looks like a normal number to everyone else.

I'd change the radio to a RCD510 and while your at it, you might as well fit bluetooth.

I'm sure we'll help you spend your money here.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Haha thanks guys!

Yeah I'm sure you'll manage to help me splash out on it! Been thinking about the audio and getting it changed, could possibly be the 1st thing I do!

Also the closest plate I can get to what I want which something along the lines of Jaker (nickname)

I can get J44 KKR for £250?

What your lot opinions on this? Could someone photoshop onto a car to preview? As the one on the website won't show me :(

Thanks!!

J44 KER isn't too bad to be honest if "Jaker" is what you're after.

The car looks great. Tornado Red is definitely my favourite colour on the Mk6 GTI's and the Monza Shadows look good too. A thumbs up from me.

If you're looking for mods then a remap would be the first on my own list. That having been said, I did enjoy the GTI when it was "only" 210bhp so it's not crucial that you go for a remap.

As for external mods, black badges would look good on a Tornado Red car but it depends what you want the image of the car to be. I consider black badges to be a bit more sporty and a bit less classy than the chrome. I ended up removing the read GTI badge and swapping the front for a Red one.

The rear LED's are probably the one thing on my own car I'd have considered changing previously. I say previously only because, now that more and more cars have LED's, I actually prefer being a bit "old school" with the standard rear lamps.

Inside the other folks on here will keep you right with the RCD/RNS options and the Bluetooth. I have neither on my own car (just the standard RCD310 - which is good enough for me) so I can't really advise either way.

But anyway, enough rambling from me. Congratulations on the purchase and many happy miles motoring
