Also loving ess_threes mk4 Recaros- they look a lot comfier than the original seats, do they have adjustable lumber support?

any recent pics of yours? whats its condition like these days ? hows the engine, did u sort those issues u had ?

The first 3 pics were taken most recently, just before the CGTI 16v Dyno Day in London Town - so mid 2011.
It's not moved since.

Bodywork is good...sills are sound. Tailgate is rotten - got a new one sitting at the bodyshop. Front wings are starting to go at the bottom...other than that, it's just spiders-legs under the paint from stonechips.
Not perfect...but structurally sound.

Engine is still broken...it drives out of the garage, then back in whilst I play about with the Mk6 and collect cash + bits for the Mk3 engine.

Trying to get a few jobs done about the house rather than spend even more on the Mk3.
Despite that, I have a fairly trick new suspension set-up to go on...and a new brake set-up too.

KodKod what milage is yours? That drivers bolster is looking in pretty good condition. Mine has done 116,000 miles and the material has not worn through but is showing signs of age and the foam has sunk. On the look out for a cheap standard GTI passenger seat so I can repair mine.

Recently fitted some new side skirts from the dealers look much better but not that cheap think about £65 for the pair.

Ess three shame about yours but I am sure you will get everything sorted in time as you are obviously in it for the long haul having had it from new. Just spent £600 quid having all of my rust removed and new paint (from Autobody Works in Dewsbury as recommended by F17 BAD) but still got my front wings to do. Also had all four wheels refurbished at a different place but noticed today one is starting to corrode again slightly so going to give them a call to see if they are covered under warranty as it was less than 12 months ago.

It's pretty good for its age but has been suffering of the dreaded tin worm lately although got most of it sorted. Still a few other niggley bits left to sort before I get it how I want it. Plan is to keep it fairly standard though.

Much prefer those recaro seats to the anni ones been thinking of changing mine eventually but want to keep it fairly original so a bit torn. You obviously have taken a different approach.
