Not as much as you'd think buddy. Sure I will loose some money but spread over a few years ownership I think it's not to bad. I've made money in other areas through good buys that will cover costs like the air ride.

I'll be alright in the end.

Reason for stopping is because I'm not far off getting back what I've spent the next steps will be money I will never see again. A £22k+ mk3 just ain't worth it.

So yeah guna probably get myself a Audi A8 an dump over some wheels and bank the rest

Not worth dumping that much money in any car when you think what car you could buy for £22K, shame never to see it finished.

It's defo the biggest downside to all this. Money or no money bringing my vision into reality would have been amazing. Sadly tho money dosent grow on trees.

Lot more to be gained with the money I will have so looking forward to 2014

Cheers dude^^

Well to save the shell from rusting I've give it a coat of etch primer as I have a feeling it could be here a while. I also decided its time to have a clear up and realised how much stuff I have. There still plenty for sale so don't forget to have a look though the classifieds for my adverts.

Thankfully the R32 is sold so that won't be here much longer but do need to clear some space if I'm ever going to fit a Audi A8 on there lol.

Evening all

To those that know me or my previous cars then you can skip this part but to those that don't here's a quick catch up.

Couple years ago I completed the build of my awesome trophy winning Mk2 Golf 20vt. Here's a pic:

Smooth bay, 20vt, BBS RS, Rallye Recaros etc. all this got me front cover on Golf+. Extremely proud moment. However I decided to move on and parted it out. Wheels where sold to a friend, interior to another and I then swapped the rest with Lucas from E38 for his mk4 golf. He had it for a while but the next time anyone would see it you wouldn't know it was the same car. Steve Denton then took ownership of the mk2. He told me that 'I can't be seen driving around in Buckfizzturbos mk2 can I lol' well he certainly made sure that didn't happen.

So that will clear that up as some still don't realise it's the same car. Now in the ownership of Heidi Leah.

While the mk2 was my 2nd car I also had a daily, a daily that didn't stay a daily for long, in fact for a large period of time the mk2 was used daily (6 months) lol.

Why? Well I left it in Matt balls capable hands to get a mk3 sitting how it should on 16s

Raised strut tops, chassis notch, custom wishbones, custom rear beam, accuair elevel etc etc. she was a cool car at this stage but 1 I decided needed to be taken a lot further. So with the decision made I stripped it right down to bare shell and then started bare metalling it for paint.

This was going to be something else, smooth bay, chrome R32, full US parts makeover, stainless bolts throughout, smoothed floor, hidden everything plus airride, retrim and many more sort after an custom parts. Would have been epic. I was going for 1 of the best built.

However as I got closer and closer to having it sent off for paint I started having doubts (not the 1st time!) and in December last year put all the parts and shell up for sale. Within 2months 90% was sold (even over Xmas) and around 12k was back in the bank. Probably not far off breaking even.

Now most has gone and shell will be going in a couple of weeks. Sad times.

With the money in the bank it was time to buy something I'd been wanting for years. A Audi A8. Something I could drive everyday and been good enough to take to shows at the weekend. As some of you I'm sure have done before I purchased the wheels before the car lol :

20" 3 piece VIP Modular 9.5 and 10.5 monsters. Awesome wheels. No sooner had I bought them tho they where sold (again to Lucas from E38) and again another plan out the window.

Again with the money in the account looking so good I couldn't spend £15k dumping a A8 over 20s and airsuspension no matter how inbelievalbly cool it would have looked.

Anyway there where quite a few cars In between the cars listed above inc venoms old demo mk3 R32 and Steve dentons old PVW featured mk3 (and again with Shakey).

There is 1 car tho that I've had for over a year now and that's my bora and here is us upto date.

Purchased as a daily while building the mk3:

VW Bora 1.8t sport

Nice clean car and a bargain too.

With my money now going into a house i still needed something for the shows. I also with a couple of good mates run a group called 'LowCollective' which you may have seen our stand a UD14. Quite simply I can't be without a modded car. So with the bora not owing me anything a being pretty spot on for everything else like family duties etc it was decided a little while ago to give her a re vamp and this is what the build from now on will be.

No crazy £20k builds here I'm guna to try n keep this realistic but it will be on air and some cool wheels so watch this space.

Thanks

Nathan

Good speaking to you at GTi inters. One of the best built mk2's that was. Put most scene car builders to shame. A very well built car with a high quality finish.
