Evening all.
Progress has been made but I can't take the credit for the work sadly.
I've been meaning to get round to this for a while but after discussing it with my mate Ron I decided to leave it in his capable hands just for the speed he can do it. Also he's the man for the wiring so why not leave him to understand it all.
If you haven't guessed by now im talking about swapping out the R32 lump and all that's needed for the conversion and refit all the VR6 stuff I have to make the silver car complete again and ready to sell on.
In typical Ron fashion this hasn't taken long but it doesn't mean there hasn't been a few complications.
So first things first R32 and all the bits to go with it need to come out and put in the temporary home of the mock up bay.
Before:
After:
I cleaned, painted and serviced the VR before it went in
So now to fill that gap.
And both in there new homes:
So only a little bit more to do to the silver car and job done.
Buying this car has been one of my best purchases. It's got everything. Finding more cool bits as we go.
Still going to be a sweet car when I sell it so keep an eye out for a add soon.
So that's where I'm upto at the mo. just a couple bits still to do and the silver car will be finished.
Even tho this isn't work on the brown car directly it is a big step towards the build. Now that the lump is in the mock up bay we can start looking into extending the loom etc and work out where we can hide it and other things. This way once the shell of the brown car is painted and engine smoothed it will be a refit rather than having to work out as we go on fresh paint.
More soon.
