Oh that's what I like to see, kin awesome spec Steve....what's the Revo done for ya mate 200 odd? and with that your playing with un-mapped GTI's

Great pics pal, everytime I see a GTD with Xenons I constantly kick myself

See, this "unmapped GTIs" thing folk seem to have with the "mapped GTDs". I had my car 3 days and came up against a mate with a mapped GTD. Up until about 80mph (on a private track), it was neck and neck, but he was quickly running out of revs and the GTI found itself a good 3 car lengths ahead by 120mph. Again, on the same private track, the huge amount of torque from the GTD ended up spinning the wheels away on the exit of a bend, allowing my GTI to gain a good car and a half of sheer acceleration before the GTD started to slow down the gap.

A GTD is just an economical 40-80 sprinter. Nothing more.

Did the polo just get to the miles you normally change at or was it not what you expected.
Doing 40k+ miles a year and having the mk5 as well I think you made the right choice with the GTD over the far thirsty ed35

Was expecting to keep the Polo longer but just found it a bit dull and on longer journeys it wasn't as refined or comfortable as the Mk6.

The Mk5 with its latest upgrades was part of the reason I went for the GTD for sure, if I feel the need to drive something with a bit more power then it's always in the garage ready

Excellent - it may be just a tad slower but perfect for me for my day-to-day car!  Obviously you need something else for the track!
