Don't forget my GTI is an early 09 and I don't have the fairy lights as my DRLs.  I checked the other day when I was out and about and the front and rears are definitely on.

I do love  my rear LED tails but folk must think I'm crackers for having them on when the sun is shining.

How are you enjoying your car? The mk6 is a huge step up on the MK5 interior wise I reckon.

Loving it, its really loosening up now. The interior is great, I know its pretty much the same but i prefer the lay out etc to my Roc too. I treated the leather yesterday with a conditioner and it came up a treat. Just been reading up on the mk7 and it sounds great. They reckon there may be a Golf RS with 360 bhp!!!!

Golf RS with 360 bhp, that will be an awesome car.  Probably out with my price range though as cars are getting crazy prices attached to them now.

Glad you are loving your Ed35 and it's living up to your expectations.

Totally agree, although i'm a massive VW fan £45k on a Golf is perhaps pushing my loyalties. Think i'll definately consider an R next time.

It's 40k for an RS3, they won't charge more for an equivelant Golf as that would make it the "premium" choice and Audi won't have that!

I don't care what anyone says, we won't see a fast mk7 this year, the poverty spec car will be revealed towards the end of this year and the GTI will come out 6-8 months later..

Golf R is more expensive than an equivelent spec S3?

I would love a 5 pot golf that mates my two favourite things BUT
Looking at the mpg a mate gets in there RS3 and TTRS I think I will pass.

It's the old one though, i bet the new shape S3 won't be cheaper.

Just wait until you've ticked some option boxes.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

A £40k Golf R is normal with extras, if they put the five-pot in the new Golf it will be close with £45k with extras.
