Both look sweet but I'm gonna go against the grain here and opt for the two tone jobbie. Love those rims and chromed window trims.

I'd say neither. If thats the colour you want, I'd say go a bit darker still. Looks too much like a rolling turd to me.  :undecided:

After what I understand was an epic session of endurance swearing last night the subframe is off the car.

I had some spare minutes out at the barn tonight, so the engine mount came off and the new rear mount went on:

Then I went for a wander among what has been christened 'the engine maze' until I found a CDA gearbox and whipped the mount off that.  After cleaning the threads up on the 1.8T gearbox the mount bolted straight up.

So it needs the front mount adding and the old gearbox mount removing.

Then it wants offering up on the G3 subframe, into the bay and test fitting.

Rod-change mech needs to come out, sharpish, Dave.  Cable-shifter needs to go in.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Thanks very much Tom! I need to start thinking about the actual mounts now, think g60 rear and 2 16v mk3 ones after my recent web findings.

Chuff, I did take the subframe off Thursday, came into unforseen circumstances and got pretty damn annoyed with the thing! Luckily, James was there to listen to my rantings..
