Lowering Caps **with pics

Got these FK lowering caps for my 16v. They fit the lowering springs which I have fine but the top where the bearing sits doesn't seem to be right.

I expected the top of the lowering cap to be convex (not flat with a small recess as shown in the first photo) so that it sits in the bearing concave recess. What do you think?

The above are both on sale from an ebay seller. The ones I have look like the 16v ones but it looks like the ones I need are for an 8v even tho I have a 16v. Do you think I have the wrong bearings?

 one is mk2 and the other is mk3 if I'm not mistaken.

They are listed on ebay as different. As it says above one is supposed to be for a mk3 8v and the other for a mk3 16v. The 8v one does look the same as one listed for a mk2 which suggests I have the correct lowering cap but the bearing doesn't appear to seat on it correctly.

I am sure the different shaped ones are mk2.

Ok I've assembled the spring and strut and its fits together fairly well although you can unseat the bearing with some lateral pressure but perhaps once it is under load this will not be possible. Just doesn't seem as good design as the mk2 cap which sits inside the bearing.
