G60 advice
« on: 21 March 2012, 20:14 »
Hi
I have a mate with a mk1 G60 with stage 4 charger on it.  The bottom end spun 2 shells not so long back so we need to look into what we can do with the engine, apart from a re-grind of the crank, oversized shells and new rods.

Ive head some people put a 2.0 8v bottom end on some of the G60 heads, but what engine code do you use and what else needs doing?  What other options have we got apart from re-build a G60 (out of a corrado) lump and put it back in

Any advice from anyone would be appreciated as im not into my older VWs.....yet.

Chris

Not a lot of options that aren't quite a bit of hassle, best bet is to rebuild your g60 block and maybe go with some oversized pistons to bring capacity up to 1.9 Peepmotorsport.co.uk - can be contacted in traders section on dubforce - is doing very good prices on wossner pistons at the moment.
