If its a jap spec 1.5 engine it will be vtec and have 130bhp. If its a euro spec 1.5 lsi engine it will be a 8v NON vtec with 90bhp. Could be a uk spec 1.5 vtec-e which is economy vtec which will have 16v SOHC and around 90 bhp.
Any of them engines and I think the golf would win but the usual engine the mini world uses is the B16A which is a 1.6 vtec with 160bhp and I reckon this would piss the golf.
