If it left the factory with small bumpers then it should have small bumpers.
If it left the factory with big bumpers it should have big bumpers.

If you want to change, buy a new car.
It really annoys me seeing pre-90 spec cars with big bumpers.

Agree that they look better how they left the factory!

Just remember "90 Spec" came out in '89...

I like both looks. The small bumper makes it look more of a classic IMO!

I had a BB '89 and now I have a SB '89. Both on a G plate.

Change over year ;)

Mine was a small bumpered 1.3, h-reg/1991. Its now big bumpered with g60 arches. Have I commited a sin as it wouldve left factory with bb if it left with the 16v engine it has now..? Not that I care- b/b ftw!

Its a car, not a museum piece.

If the lad want's big bumpers, he can have big bumpers.

It'll still be recognisable as a MK2 Golf.

Anyway, I thought scene points weren't accepted here.

the whole idea was to give it what it came out of the factory with really. need to look at the dates on it.

i like the small look as it is but i got the car to take it back to how it was or just the original look at least, its a bit of a mess at the mo.
