I take it mine is a big bumper?  It's a G Reg 1990, I assume it's not been changed,

I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong on this, but if the hazzard light switch is on the dash, it should have small bumpers. On the steering column, big bumpers.

This is the case for GTI's and either CL or GL's, I can't remember which. All other models had small bumpers. Drivers and GTD's included.

thanks, i'll check that later, I'm pretty certain it is on the dash, but can't fully remember...

My car is registered Dec 89, and is a small bumper, and always has been.

Somewhere on the build code sticker in the boot, there will be a 3 or 4 digit code that will/should correspond to the bumpers fitted to your car, so we just need the code for big bumpers! this could get interesting

ADDENDUM:

Mines a 91 16v.  That's all there was on the option list on my sticker.  I couldn't make out the first code it was "something 2B" so that's not on the list above.

Nothing to denote big bumpers as far as I can see.

integrated front fog lights wouldnt that be only on a big bumper?  :undecided:
