Was playing with one today, felt very solid. (although not as solid as the 7d)

7D is the only way to go, short of a 1D-something.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

So it's been a year since this was started.
Do you suffer GAS (gear aquisition syndrome) ?

I know I desire more stuff. But here's what's changed in my kit (in bold):

Sony Alpha 350 DSLR
Minolta Dynax 40 film SLR
Minolta 50mm f1.7 AF RS
Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 EX DC
Sony DT 18-70mm f3.5-5.6 (kit lens) never used
Minolta 70-210mm f4 (constant) - AKA the beercan
Sigma 530 DGST Flash
Manfrotto MKC3-P02 tripod
Adobe Lightroom 4

And two of my most recent favourites:

I'm getting obsessed, put it this way, I paid £100 for my DSLR, £100 for my bridge, and not over £20 for anything else in my kit. Most of my lenses are from car boot sales/second hand shops!

Sony Alpha A200
Fujifilm S3280 Bridge
My HTC Sensation Xl Phone :)

Tamron AF 80-210mm f4.5
Sony Kit 18-70mm f3.5
Chinon M42 55mm f1.7
Auto Flex M42 50mm f2.8
Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar M42 50mm f2.8 (x2)
Helios 44 M39 58mm f1.7

Hama Star Tripod
Medium Tripod
Tiny Tripod

An old Minolta Speed Light flash with adapter

£10 camera back pack from eBay
Little Sony Alpha bag

Other random shiz...
Reversing rings, coupling rings, M42 adapters, extension tubes, flash diffusers, led torches, head torch, gels, wide angle adapter, step up rings, uv filters, ND filters, Polarising filters.

You know, looking at that I'm chuffed, such a bargain hunter! :D

Canon 1000d replaced by Canon 7D
Efs 18-55 IS
EF 50mm f1.8
EF 70-200 F4L
added Canon 430 EXII
Yongnuo Flash
Flash stands and umbrellas
Yongnuo RF603 triggers.
Cokin P type holder with hi-tech 10 stop filter
Redsnapper tripod with ball head
collapsible large backdrop

Not too many additions but funds haven't really been available, still after a 10-20 and a replacement for the kit lens. And a Canon 24-70 2.8

Two favourite shots:
