I'm here lol

You need to line the front mount up so the top pipe can route through the crash bar and back out. Really neat way of doing it and you can see why the THS coolers are £450 odd

the THS pipes flip, but you can just route them with the bottom pipe going to the pancake pipe and the top going to the throttle body like the Forge does. You may need to trim a slot in the crash bar to fit the intercooler in as it might be too thick to fit in between.

Pipe wise it will probably be a custom job to get it routed through the crash bar

It really doesn't seem to be that much of an issue if you have a selection of pipes and joiners at your disposal..

Even buy buying the right size pipes, angles, and bits of silicone, i think you could route it through the crash bar relatively easily if you do want it running at its most effeciant.. hot in the top, cold out bottom..

What difference in temps you get you will never know i suppose unless you try both, difference is probably minor, but there..

Without a doubt the THS job is a wicked bit of kit, but comes with a wicked price tag to match, and im a tight fcuker!

Didnt think 390 was to bad for a quality frontmount and a good fitting one to ths do come highly recommended.but recon you could do a quality diy kit and install for 200 so i see where your coming from.forge is way over priced though imo

Im not denying its a very well thought out bit of kit, and i would preferably get one, but as you say, i think for 200 you could have a similar design..

I will never have 400 free to spend on I/C, wes is just on too much money

like you said earlier though its the sourcing of the pipework and fittings that will take the time and eat up a lot of the budget.its suprising how much a bent piece of tube can cost!ths is a long way off for me to at the mo

Indeed lol, single bent pipes are crazy money on ebay..

Think its best to buy a kit off ebay and get the hacksaw out..!

Something like this to give you lots of random bends etc..
