haldex controller on the mk4 makes it a 50/50 split of torque, if your system isnt cared for then it will kill it quickly (usually only gets 20% of the power)

you want a proper 4wd then get an a4 quattro, thats a full time 4wd, and if you pull the fuse for the haldex then you have rwd

Would have thought they would use same 4wd platform throughout.. Will keep an a4

Nope as the A3 is the golf floorpan, A4 is not tranverse engine hence the differences.

i want really being serious anyway, theres no way the car would last long in rwd cos its still going through a transfer box.
