No shortage of takers for these edition 35's are there, VW coining it in  :undecided:

I think the spec of the ED35 is so good that most new buyers would opt for one over the standard GTI especially of you wanted Xenons and leather.

Jim

Standard car comes with leather only now. VW have dropped the Jacara cloth.

And probably the reason why the ED35 doesn't come with the European half leather/honeycomb interior. I like both so I am not that bothered but the half leather is a great option and I really liked it in my ED30

Thanks for all the positive comments, the colour is Carbon Grey, I will be sad to see the R32 go but I have had it since new November 2008 and it was time for a change.
Natural profession would have been the Golf R but it outside my price bracket by about £6000 for the spec I wanted.
As soon as I seen the ED 35 I was sold on it, what a terrific looking motor and with the extra BHP and the 19inch alloys it was mine.
I will miss the 4WD though.

I am new to the forum but it looks like the ED 35 has really taken off big time.

Cheers

Will be interesting to see how you get on with it after the R32. When I got my ED30 I looked at the R32 as well (fantastic noise) but decided the ED30 was the one for me as I prefer the FWD set up and rawness. A mate of mine had the R32 so got to drive it every now and then so I got the sound track fix. Back to back there was really nothing in it apart from the ED30 was marginly faster in a straight line once moving but a bit less composed when giving it 100%. Before that I had 3 Audi Quattros and did miss the surefootedness on the 4WD which actually make me drive slower when it was wet, so may be not such a bad thing

Good luck for Thursday and looking forward to seeing some more pics.
