Truth be told we really liked it at the Pond, staff were really helpful rooms were nice but it did mean getting a lot of taxi's as it was a little too far to walk.

I did  like the parking there as there was plenty of it & it was free, the Premier Inn doesn't have any so got to pay for parking this time which is going to a pain ! We did get a pretty good deal on the premier inn so kind of balances it out.

We are there for 3 nights & is already booked we went for the Premier Inn this time purely because of having to get taxi's all the time from the Pond. So if we add up all the money spent on taxi's might make a dent in the parking costs lol

What sort of price is it for say 24 hrs parking ?

There is cheap all day parking near Merchant city (near Strathclyde uni), its about £5 all day and about a 5 minute walk back to George Square.

NCP etc. will cost you a fortune, along with street meters, which are about £2 per hour.

I used to park in the Casino car park on Glass street and then just get my ticket validated :)

Thanks

checked out that q-park that only £13 for 24 hours that really cheap compared to down here ! i will probably not be parked there all the time as we will probably go out of the city for some of the time.
