Had a clifford concept 500 i think it was many moons ago,was a good alarm couldnt fault it.toad always used to be good make also if you can still get em :undecided:

i dont have an alarm, or maybe i didnt get the remote key with it when i bought my car, the red light flashes on the drop down pin when i lock my car?
just kinda guessed i dont have one!
any easy way of finding out?

Leave the windows down, see if the ultrasonics pick up movement and set off the alarm? Is yours not a GTi then?

Im not sure if a 1.6 has one or not?  :undecided: GTI's all came with them as standard.

Im not sure if a 1.6 has one or not?  :undecided: GTI's all came with them as standard.
im pretty sure its just the immobilizer, might go with a clifford one!
