Yeah its come along way. I was something like the 100'th member when I first joined back in January 2003, its certainly changed a lot since then. Been through our ups and downs but have to say that it is ticking along very nicely now, a really friendly and informative place to be. Well done to everyone for making the forum what it is today, afterall, its the members that make it what it is..........but a big 'thumbs up' to jv for starting this monster in the first place.........bet you never envisaged this when you started it all up

This site rocks - I tried most of the VW websites last May/June 2004 and found this club/forum and people to be the most friendly and helpful and thus I don't go anywhere else now.

Thanks alot JV for starting this off and everyone who has helped me out over the year and for just chatting for the hell of it. The love for the VW's is amazing - we all make golfgti.co.uk what it is. GREAT.

it has gone from strength to strength, i stumbled upon here a few years ago in my quest to find and electric window switch!! back then it was very quiet, infact so quiet i didnt really use it for about 6mths - but on returning it seemed to be booming so sorta stuck around!!

thing i like about golfgti.co.uk is that no matter whether you are a total newbie or part of the woodwork, everybody is treated equally and there is none of the clicky-ness which goes on other forums

Thats because club gti is sh!t, and falling apart from the inside out.

I know these things.

Hence my move over here, everyone is a lot LOT more genuine and doesn't act two faced or stab you in the back about things.

that is soo true mate. Alot of members on the other forums try to rip me off.

The site only really got good after I became a moderator of the Mk4 section

But seriously... your little project has grown into a bit of a beast, jv!!!
