Well was having a browse on here and there is a company that do body repairs and resto, so if could time having the engine out etc with them redoing that could work out nicely, there is a bit of rust around the filler and the battery tray isnt in cracking conidtion lol

Well so much for a nice easy lesson on cars, I just gone for the baptism of fire aproach


Don't worry we've all been there with old purchases, most of us just booggle, but some actually do it the right way and restore to former glory!  :cool:
Don't give up on her it will come true in the end!

Aye, the aim was to restore her to, as you say former glory, I just didnt expect to be doing less then 2 weeks after buying.

Guess better start looking at gutting and stripping her to go get chopped and restored while the engine goes away and gets stripped polished and returned to the nice little lump it was 20 years ago......bye bye to a lot of my budget for the other car.

I still need a new starter motor as it wont start convincingly....sometimes taking a bit of convincing BUT it does start! I changed the fuel pump relay and what do you know were away.  :grin:
