Hi,
So, Mickey Mouse (not far off) replaced my clutch the other day (maybe a week ago now), since then I've had nothing but problems with the car.... When I depress the clucth fully to the floor theres a ticking/chatter sort of noise and you feel something through the pedal which I believe is the release bearing (he said he thought it was that too) Anyway, that's all been taken apart and redone at the weekend (not by the same guy)....

Also, for a while when I give the car a blip on the throttle while stationary its seemed to judder somewhat, if you do it a few times then the car pretty much shakes to a degree. I assumed this was either the dogbone or other engine mounts? However, with the fault codes i'm unsure if its down to a component failing causing the poor running, its not as bad as when the ignition amp went though!

Now, the car has sounded worse and worse since I had the clutch 'done' now the car sounds like a tractor.... its really loud, sounds a bit like the cars on GTA just before they blow up  :undecided: I assumed the noise was down to a leak in the exhaust system somewhere, I suspected the sleeve between the downpipe and cat back but it looks present and correct but havent been under the car. However, the noise does sound like its coming from the front of the car somewhere so I'll be looking at the flexi pipe section....

I scanned the car with VCDS and has com up with the following errors,

01249 - Fuel Injector for Cylinder 1 (N30)
            26-10 - Output Open - Intermittent
01250 - Fuel Injector for Cylinder 2 (N31)
            26-10 - Output Open - Intermittent
01251 - Fuel Injector for Cylinder 3 (N32)
            26-10 - Output Open - Intermittent
01252 - Fuel Injector for Cylinder 4 (N33)
            26-10 - Output Open - Intermittent
01247 - Activated Charcoal Filter (EVAP) System Solenoid Valve 1 (N80)
            26-10 - Output Open - Intermittent
01262 - Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75)
            26-10 - Output Open - Intermittent
00561 - Mixture Adaptation
14-00 - Adaptation Limit (Add) Exceeded
Readiness: N/A

I've never had any of these faults before, could the clown that did the clutch have disconnected something or worse still broken something which is causing these codes and rough running of the car? Or, maybe he started the car with something disconnected? I've got no idea on the layout of the loom etc to think if this could come down to a plug or two. I've cleared the codes but havent driven the car, I did start it and sounds exactly as it was. N75 knackered or is that too easy? I checked (briefly) the wiring to the N75 and from what I could see it looks perfectly fine put just pulled the plastic casing back so only checked the part just before the plug. Bad earth maybe? Any ideas where the relevant ground is?

I already noticed he didnt connect my amp power wire and didnt secure the airbox down or put screws in the lid.....

heres a brief video of my car doing an impression of a tractor, yes.... my sill has pretty much collapsed  :lipsrsealed:

sorry for the long post!

Cleared the codes an ony the mixture adaptation was still there. I'll see again after work.

Car still sounds rough as, jacked it briefly before work and all 'looked' ok bit will have a proper look over the weekend. There is a slight double whistle noise after coming on the throttle (can only hear it at low speed) do ill do a boost leak test.

Car idles fine, accelerates fine, just sounds rough and stinks of petrol. Hopefully it's not the hi flow cat that's gone?

I reckon you have a split pipe mate, try the one under your inlet manifold at the front along with all the PCV pipes, follow the route and make sure they're all secure and where they should be. Chances are if he's that much of a cowboy he's wrecked something while getting the box off

mixture adaption is basically the car trying to sort out the rough running by adding more fuel to the air coming in. Sounds quite big as you've hit the limit. Mine did this when I lost the bolt blocking the inlet pipe just after I installed my catch can  :embarassed:
