One of the points we haven't raised tho is the amount of claimants who also commit fraud on a large scale of thousands a year. Only a small proportion do get caught. Tho it's. It quite as bad as the 80s yet whereby people walked out of one door with their cheque and back in for another queue under another name!!

£60 on 4 adults. Tell me where and how??
WTF do you buy?

We buy cereal/eggs/milk for brekkie. Everyone takes sandwiches for lunch. I take a tracker bar, poece of fruit. I drink tap water. Evening meal is the same stuff we've always had. No booze/cigs. No crisps/choc/fizzy stuff etc. On the occasions we do splash out/need to buy more, the bill has never been higher than £80, even at Xmas. We go to Morrisons.

As above... I agree that the current system does not work. So I purpose a new system.

Everyone gets £200pw as a minimum. However tax works the opposite way round. If you dont work your £200 gets tax down to <£1

The more you work the greater the tax reduction on this sum.

Figures are of course made up.. but with a little work and a few tweeks I think I could be onto something here. You can look at it 2 ways (I suggest looking at it through the eyes of a benifits scrounger.

"Here you go son, £200 for doing nothing. But everyday you are not out there collecting litter or polishing drains your £200 goes down by £40. Off you go lad".

How about someone addresses the real problem, most people who are out of work for a long time but genuinely trying to get a job find it hard, lots will have got degrees or done one specific type of job and not have any experience doing anything else, but there is no work in their chosen field so they have to find a job in a different field, trouble is all company's want someone with experience, how can someone get experience if no one will be the first to give them a job?

Most company's don't give training anymore so you have to pay for everything yourself which while out of work is not possible, the jobcentre does give training but it isn't any good, I done an SIA course to do security, I finished the course and was then told I had to find £275 to pay for the licence, I had a job waiting for me but just couldn't find £275 out of nowhere, I tried borrowing it but no one had it to lend me so I went to the jobcentre and asked if they would pay for it, I offered to pay it back and sign off there and then but they wouldn't, so for the sake of them lending me £275 I claimed for months before I got another job.

They should make people do training courses, not the rubbish ones they have now but one that mean something and that will actually help people back into work, bring back the £1000 bonus for company's who employ people who have been on jobseekers for 6 months or more.

The whole SIA thing is a gimmick don't even get me started on that, just another means of making money for the government and one of its industry's coordinators!

However some firms will pay for your SIA license and when you leave they will decuct accordingly on the length you heald the license. Finding a company to do this is the hard part however.

Are you on a diet then?
60 quid to feed 4 adults, that's the funniest thing i've heard for ages.
You must be starving
I also presume you mean 60 quid just for food, or you talking about your total shopping bill?

The SIA should be done away with this year and a different self regulating system put in place, meaning companies will make it up as they go along.

I've got my licence now and am due to start working anytime, it's only relief work for 2 months which means I've got to be ready to go in and work a night shift on as little as 3 hours notice and have been told to expected to get 1 day per week but they now want a cscs card as well, all just pointless paperwork none of it means a fu*king thing.

The cost of training, licence, cscs card and health and safety training to get the cscs card makes me wonder why anyone does it, especially when it's all bl00dy night work for minimum wage, I'm desperate to work so will take any job for any wage, but surely that can't be the case for everyone who does it.

Why not offer to work for a company for free?

I know lots of people that have done this... make your self employable during your 'trial' period

I honestly don't know how people struggle so much to find work, i left school with no qualifications but have always managed to work whether it be in a permenant position or temp position.

I have also been made redundant in the past & had to sign on but got off my arse & got a job through a temp agency & gradually worked my way slowly up again. If you can't find work where you live either look for jobs out of the area & travel or move to where the work is.

I do think they should cap benefits, i am all for helping people out when life gives them a knock but there needs to be a limit, why should people be allowed to not work & keep banging out kids who will probably end up doing the exact same as they have no role models.

The basis of the story is if people can't afford kids then they shouldn't have them because i don't see why i should pay for them  :lipsrsealed:
