"a bit of elbow grease" you make it sound so easy!

I tried doing mine myself using advice from people at work but when my hand started to look as corroded as the wheel I gave up. If you have any tips I'd really love to know how you got it looking like brand new!

Alright mate, this is exactly what i did, hope its of some use to you or any one else that reads it,sorry no photos as i didnt think.
Put the correct socket into one of the bolts ,think its a multispline of sorts cant remember the size but make sure its the exact one and give it good strike with a tapping stick (hammer)  hopefully this will break the corrosion on the threads and there will be less chance of shearing a bolt,do the same to the rest of them, yeah i know theres 60 odd of them  then crack them off with a rachet ,i spun them out after with an air gun as it would take forever by hand, all of mine came out without breaking any so i was off to a good start, once they were split i set about the centers ,i did cheat abit and stripped the paint and corrosion off with a little £40 clarke shot blaster, this took forever as it was only a hobby thing and it kept blocking up ,just had to keep going at it as it was the only way i could get at the bolt holes and fiddly bits .Right onto the outers, you will need a swivel chair with the back removed,a 3 or 4" flap wheel 36 grade and a few more but finer grades 180 ,360 etc and a mains powered drill, set about the mankey rims with the 36 removing the laquer and corrosion, now for the fun bit, place a rim onto the center of the swivel chair, apply the flap wheel to the rim with pressure ,i pinned the drill between my arm and body leaving my other hand free to control the speed of the spinning rim as it can get up to a right good speed and fly off(not good )Youll get the hang of it.Pressing down firmly keep going till all traces of corrosion and pitting have gone, you should end up with a nice brushed alley finish, then change to a finer grade flap wheel and so on till you get a smooth a shiny finish.Retap all the holes, iirc its M7
Paint wise i brought some etch primer, half a litre of LC4T same as the car basecoat and a litre of highsolids clearcoat and got busy with the spray gun .Dont forget to use a bit of threadlock on reassembly,i think thats it.
