Well, its begun............

The modification of the Oakie has begun.

I am however, doing everything on the cheap, so the AVO coilovers I have got need a refurb, but only cost £120 and I only have 3 Alloys (however £60 for 3 16" OZ superT's aint bad)

The Pipercross filter cost 8 brand new and the power rohr 12, tho isn't the right one for a 16v.

Its getting there, Just one alloy, a couple of hundred on the refurb's and a 2l engine and it will be sorted.

Grr, Bl00dy VW's, i bought this car to stop spending Money!

Spot on Gambit,

I wouldn't use it, but it make SOOOO much differece when runnin on LPG that I can bear to go back.

It means that I can get to the top end of the revs without the this having an asthma attack!

The LPG is fed into a vapouriser which is situated in the plastic L piece that comes from the top of the air box (metering head?) So where as a standard car would contine to run, albeit lean when it isnt getting enough air, when running on LPG it is running without air or fuel. (I think!)

Well, that what I think happens, but either way, since the Rohr has been added its a bit more pokey on the gas.

Still switch to SuperU when I wanna play tho

Same problem i have okie. You can get rhors with twin take off's you know. Thats my plan. Good to hear that getting rid of the vaporiser isnt an issue. Answered one of my questions anyway. But if you only have one take off what are you connecting your isv to?

Just to add to this, i dont think the air is cut off when running on gas just the petrol. The reason why its slower top end on gas is because the air intake is restricted due to the much smaller internal diameter of the vaporiser thus choking the intake of air. Heres a pic of mine, may be a little different to yours. Would love some pics so we can compare our bits! Ooo er!
