  Two car family

I have to say, I'm on the same sort of mileage as Simon. My GT has done just over 4000 miles in the first year since getting it. My Mk2 has done just over 2000 miles in 3 years.  My Passat on the other hand...
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

I cant imagine having a GTI on the driveway and having to take a Yaris to work. Everyone to their own.

A lot of Mk 5 Gti owners used to suffer very high oil consumption in the first 10,000 miles (including myself) but I've not heard many complaints with the Mk 6, so best keep you eye on it

When it comes to my Mk2, errrr no  just 400 miles last year. Sometimes I even forget I've got it.

If I had a Mk6 GTI/D, that would probably get used less than my GT. I just prefer to jump in one of the other the already dirty cars, and not have to worry about it.
