Wheel spacer help.
« on: 29 January 2012, 16:57 »
Ok I already have 5mm spacers on the front to stop wheels toching the coilovers. But today I noticed on full lock my front passenger side wheel sounds like it is rubbing quite badly on the Coilover so was going to loose the 5mm spacers and stick 10mm ones on.
Luckily for my there is a brand new pair in the boot that came with the car. They are just spacers though. No hub bit on them for the wheel to sit on. For 10mm spacers will they be ok and still have hub sticking through them for wheel to centre on? Or do they need to be huncentric at 10mm?

Will they be safe to use though till I get some you recon? Will the hub still poke abit on 10mm spacers?

Ah right. Why do they make spacers that are not hubcentric bigger that 5mm if they not safe?
Does hubcentric mean they the spacer has a hub lip on them aswell?

You'll need longer bolts aswell, you'll get wobble wheel, anything over 5mm use hubcentric
