AUQ and AUM...... Differences between them.
« on: 26 January 2012, 13:23 »
Ok been looking at a few different options for my turbo build and have decided im going to rebuild a different 1.8T with rods, shells etc etc but wanted to use all my other stuff off my AUQ that I have at the moment.

Can I say just buy a second hand head, block, sump from a different code1.8T and transfer all the ancillaries from my AUQ over onto it or are there all different connections or anything?

Hopefully that makes sense

Thanks guys

There are a few differences with the way the pipes are laid out on the PCV system but I can't see there being a lot else...

Aqu small port  ko3s think 19mm wrist pins has vvt and map sensor, sap, and crappy clips on rear charge pipe.
agu big port ko3 20mm , none of that crap.and alot better charge pipe.
I think aqu/aum are easier/better to map

I am running a ko3s agu. Daily
And an aqu with agu wrist pins/con rods and aftermarket bolts, agu rear charge pipe.
I think the different between aum and aqu is the ecu and some breather pipes, but unsure as it's only what I read.
Hope that helps

Oh and the aqu runs a n75f valve as standard(or e if it's been updated)
