my 500 quid mk3 1.8 driver project
« on: 22 January 2012, 22:42 »
my first vag, use it everyday had it 4 months now

started off like this when i bought it, genrally good condition, mint interior, but rusty lower wings and a patchy tailgate and only 500 quid

first things it had done, wheels (yes a bit chavvy but very cheap) badgeless grill , and a bloody good clean

went over the old girl with polish, sealer, and colli 476 tyre dressing etc

got low!

few pics with my mates ibiza, funnily enough with the golfs old wheels on

plans for its future - yellow tint headlights or morettes, bonnet bra (mixed opinions on that one) full stainless zorst, deep dish wheels when i can afford it, let me know what you think!

don't yellow tint the lights it wont suit the colour of the car, just joey mod them

bonnet bra is a personal taste...how about removing the red pin strip from the bumper?

Black the wheels maybe?

The wheels aren't the nicest but they look alright considering. Car looks in good nick and in a decent colour too.

(As above) Golf MK3 & genuine BBS RX 16"wheels, now for sale separately - Just ask for details - Thanks, Les

This all the way...

Those wheels are too bling, if they were cheap then you shouldn't mind changing their colour too much.

Always Noooooooooooo on Bra's IMO.

Car looks pretty tidy for the money.

thanks for the feedback lads, just passed her mot after me working on it until midnight to replace a knackered inner cv boot and to sort a rear brake issue, keeping it until oct then upgrading to a bora 2.0 or a mk4 gti ;)
