205 1.9 gti??

He wants something which goes around corners properly, not backwards into a ditch!

I don't think a semi will give the same results

Only if you are stupid enough to lift off at the apex of a corner...
Not unlike so many cars.
205 GTI nowhere near as bad as people suggest...utterly controlable.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

I had a 106 gti. Didn't last long though
I replaced it with a Saxo vts. I put in some catcams 708 had it remapped and it made 163bhp. Stripped it a bit. Prob got it to 900kg

It was by far the best fun car iv had. Very quick and handled great loved it. Been thinking about getting another  faster than a 172 cup too.

The build is shocking though

With catcam 808, solid lifters, change of valve springs, itb and some head porting. They can make between 180 and 190 bhp. That power and 800kg is a awesome fast road car!

Should've bought a MK2.

I was tempted!
But it's not practical enough.
My mates MK2 GTI is always breaking down!

Really miss cornering though!
It's killing me!

You never asked for practical.  Even though it is.

And your mates MK2 is no reflection on the rest.

Man up and buy a MK2.

Much Kudos.

I'm tempted by a 106 or Saxo tbh, they're CHEAP!
But if I ever overstepped it's capabilities and more importantly mine. I'm pretty much dead, they don't hold up well in crashes do they?
