Gearbox or Clutch foobarred after remap?! UPDATE

so update..

Got a call saying clutch is all fitted. ECS Stage 1, turns out the clutch plate had split in 2! they showed me in and said that would be why i was having trouble! The clutch itself wasnt actually that worn but at least thats all changed now. Single Mass conversion with 14lb flywheel.

BUT, go to start it and see smoke coming from bay, starter motors fried. So once again I am left car less! WHEN WILL IT END

if that was the first turn of the key since the gearbox got bolted back on, check the flywheel isn't jammed

how would you know? They took the starter motor out because I was there and put a live onto it and the piston went up but the cog didnt turn so they're getting a new starter motor tomorrow

Turn the engine over by hand via the bottom pulley on the cam belt end and see if it turns. Take the plugs out to make it easier too

So an update, new starter motor and all is fine bar some maf issues .

Anyway 1st and 3rd aren't engaging properly. Its not all the time, but most, you move it up, it sort of goes 3/4 the way and then stops. Press clutch down, release and try again and it goes in fine. Air in the system, slave/master cylinder or gearbox?

you might need to re adjust the linkages.
