19's on a mk4

bought a gti turbo last night and was thinking of fitting 19's is it a big job or straight forward fit also what size tyres would i need? Will 19's drive ok or am i better off with 18's?
 I'm not going 2 use them through winter only summer .

18"s are the best choice really with 225/40/18's tyres

As Wayne said 18's are the best bet and for a little tyre stretch 225/40/18

i've got 19's, 8.5j wide with a 215/35 tyre for a little stretch.....

I'm going to be changing my tyres soon though to either a 40 or 225.... or both.
