If the women  who have the implants get sick from their leaking implants then the nhs will have to pick the bill anyway.
:undecided: Just like it does for the people who are stupid enough to smoke.
Golfgti build quality is average at best.

That's a bit similar to a car company asking for you to pay for the engine to be removed when they have a recall for a badly designed part.

Isn't it.

And no.
Its like VW asking the government to fix the design problem at the governments cost

Perhaps I wasn't specific enough.  Perhaps I should have said part made by a supplier to VW.

There you go.  Clear.

From the BBC website:

"The NHS will cover the costs for women who had the implants fitted by the health service and who are anxious to have them removed, it added."

"The NHS will also remove the implants if the private clinic no longer exists or refuses the patient."

Would would you have them do? Let the women die / get cancer etc..

In that case VW then chase the part supplier for the cost of changing the part.
If the NHS has to remove a private clinic patients implants then the government should make the private clinic pay for it.
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

Jon has said it, on principle I agree with Chuff and Steve but what are you gonna do let them women die or suffer?
Funny thing NHS its been working far longer than private health business NOT clinics as I call them, and the ironic situation is they are going back to an organisation where doctors and surgons work in both sectors

I think some sort of contribution should be made by the paitent and be means tested on income if they can pay or not?

So the private hospitals who fitted the implants should remove them at their own cost.
If the NHS fitted the implants they should have to pay.
The NHS shouldnt pay to remove the private hospitals!

Or the company who made them should fork out.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

must have heard about the frogs dodgy implants on the news, how they are paying for them to be replaced.

now all the false titted women in this country with them think our government should pay for theirs to be changed.

I think NOT, you paid for them, you pay for them to be removed

and discuss  . . . . . . . . . .

Couldn't agree more
