Mk5 gets my vote. Following that the Leon FR/ Cupra if you can.

The only negative for me is that if I had a Mk5 GTI sitting in the drive, I'd rather sort it and take it on track than take the Mk3. In fact the same could be said really for any of the cars you have mentioned, with the exception being the Megane 225 as I really don't like them.

But in answer to your question, either the Mk5 or Leon.

This has to be the most whored Golf currently for sale - it's posted EVERYWHERE.

Personally I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole - the S3 hardware at the back has been gobbed in there with fabricated crossmembers and look at that tunnel - it's been 'made wider' at some point

Dodgy.

Out of all the cars listed the Megane has the best 'track' reputation, but it's the one you wouldn't take on track?
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Holiday cottages on the Isle of Wight for 2-10 people? PM me.

For value for money it has to be the cuprammonium. Then again, you will be bitten by depreciation very quickly. Aldi or Golf if you want to keep your bollox when time comes to sell.
